Full description
Used with the PLT® 75 Launching Tube. The traditional rubber mooring projectile is designed to use alongside with the PLT® 75 Launching Tube and commonly paired with a 5mm line.
Typical launching distance with a dry and clean line of 5mm is 90 meters.
The projectile is water-filled to prevent bouncing. Various types of lines can be employed with the projectile.
Operations:
- A heaving line for securing mooring ropes in Ship-to-Ship (STS) operations.
- For offshore vessels engaged in transferring materials between the primary and support vessels.
- Employed as a heaving line in towing operations.
- Used when mooring a vessel to a port and in rescue operations.
- For the purpose of transferring mooring ropes used by specific terminals.
