An eye wash unit is only useful if it is simple to operate when needed. The Hughes STD-85GS/P is a pedestal mounted eye wash with a stainless steel open bowl and stainless steel pipework in a polished brush finish. A push plate starts the flow. The protective dust covers lift off, and the aerated diffusers deliver 12 L per minute. The unit connects to a 1¼" female BSP water inlet and operates at 2 to 6 bar G. It is designed for ambient temperatures from 5 °C to 35 °C. At 314 x 535 x 1154 mm and 10 kg, it is a compact unit that fixes to its base plate with M12 bolts (not supplied).
