VIKING Trainee programs
The VIKING Trainee Program consist of two to three years of extensive training and work experience - all targeted towards you becoming a skilled performer in the VIKING organization.
We also seek specialized trainees in targeted fields of discipline including: Finance, Information Technology, Human Resources, Service, Design, Product Management and more.

SPECIFIC TRAINEE AND GRADUATE PROGRAMS
All-round Trainee Program
As an All-round Trainee at VIKING, you will rotate through four different departments during the two to three year period:
- Owner Agreements
This means that you will obtain a comprehensive understanding of organizational processes at VIKING. Halfway through the All-round Trainee Program, you will spend three to four weeks abroad at one of the VIKING subsidiaries, where you will gain cultural understanding and insight into our subsidiary organization.
Additionally, as an All-round Trainee, you will participate in a two-year education program - and upon completion, receive the first part of a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration (a Danish, broad-based, general academic diploma). Applicants for the All-round Trainee program must be near completion of, or have completed a secondary education (e.g. HHX, STX, HTX) or higher.
Sales Executive Graduate Program
Our Sales Executive Graduate Program is a two-year entry-level program designed to provide new graduates with a solid foundation for a successful at VIKING. Primarily, you will be working in the Sales Department, but you will also be introduced to other departments in the supply chain - giving you a wide scope of the VIKING organization. The Program provides deep insight in VIKING sales functions as well as extensive and focused training - to best prepare you to become a part of the VIKING sales force. Additionally, a portion of the trainee period will see you stationed abroad at one of VIKING’s subsidiaries. To be eligible, you must have completed a tertiary qualification (such as a bachelor’s degree).
Sales Trainee Program
Being a Sales Trainee at VIKING includes two years of learning about sales, interaction with global customers and the opportunity to work abroad in one of our subsidiaries. During the program, you will be directly connected to our sales offices in Denmark, where you will: Participate in a fixed training programReceive mentoring from specialists in sales learningLearn about sales administration Gain experience handling global customers Additionally, as a participant in the Sales Trainee Program, you will be enrolled in a two-year education program - and upon completion, receive the first part of a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration (a Danish, broad-based, general academic diploma). Shipping Trainee Program
As a Shipping Trainee, you will be working in VIKING’s Shipping Department. The two-year program is designed to give you a deeper understanding of shipping activities, including:
- Dangerous goods
- Customs and much more
VIKING has all steps of the supply chain process in house. This means, as part of a VIKING shipping specialists team, you will be working directly with goods shipped worldwide - via land, sea or air. All our Shipping Trainees attend the “Shipping Agent” line at IBC in Kolding. To apply, you must have completed an EUS Course, as well as secondary education (e.g. HHX, STX, HTX) or higher.
