The PLT® Multi R 230 combines the working tool PLT 150 and complying with IMO SOLAS 74/96 regulations. For a vessel looking to combine the regulation and use it as a deck tool.
The PLT® Multi Launching Unit works on 200 bar (2900 psi) to 300 bar (4350 psi) and is refilled by using a high-pressure air compressor. This provides between 4 to 6 launches.
For filling to 300 bar (4350 psi), simply connect the air cylinder to a standard scuba diving (breathing air) compressor with standard 5/8″ threads according to DIN 477.
For filling from a 200-bar compressor, Art. No. 1308 Yoke (DIN477) and claw adapter Art.no 1315 is needed to connect the Air cylinder and compressor.
The PLT® R 230 Projectile has 250 meters of pre- installed 3,2mm Nylon Line. The Line has a breaking strength of 2000N and the projectile and line floats.
When the line is dry and clean, the launching distance is between 230-250 meters.
The 150 Projectile has a rubber tip to protect and minimize impact when landing. It is commonly used for medium range mooring operations and general line transfer. Depending on your line requirements the launching distance will vary.
