With the introduction of a 203-person life raft, the VIKING Undertun marine evacuation system now offers an even more efficient setup for larger commuter ferries. Operators can reduce the number of rafts needed per ship side while maintaining the same high standard of safety and reliability.

The new raft expands the Undertun range, making it easier to match system capacity with vessel size – without adding complexity to installation or operation.

Self-sufficient operation – at the push of a button

The Undertun system includes an integrated 12V battery and can be activated automatically from the stowage box, the bridge or remotely – with no need for electrical connections to the ship. That means it’s ready to go when you need it most.

Designed to perfectly fit the ship's side

With its sleek design and compact footprint, the Undertun system integrates with the vessel’s hull via a frame and shell door. The gangway adjusts for ship-raft motion, while surface textures help guide evacuees safely and intuitively toward the raft.
