Full description
The PLT® 75 is designed to enhance safety in various operations, including mooring, towing, ship-to-ship transfers, and general line transfer tasks.
It functions by launching an orange rubber ball that deploys a 5mm bright yellow floating line measuring 120 meters in length. The ball is designed to land safely on the deck, and it's filled with water to prevent bouncing upon impact.
The air cylinder, when filled to its maximum pressure of 300 bars (4350 psi), can support the base unit for a total of 6 maximum pressure launches. If charged to 200 bars (2900 psi), it enables 4 maximum pressure launches.
To fill the air cylinder to 300 bars (4350 psi), simply connect it to a standard scuba diving compressor designed for breathing air, featuring standard 5/8" threads as per DIN 477 specifications. In cases where you're filling from a 200-bar compressor, you'll require Art. No. 1308 Yoke (DIN477) and claw adapter Art.no 1315 to establish the connection between the air cylinder and the compressor.
When using a clean and dry 5mm line, the maximum launching distance achievable is 90 meters.
