VIKING Norsafe C-7.8 NO davit is designed and manufactured according to stringent NORSOK requirements. VIKING Norsafe is the only manufacturer which has taken on the challenges of Norsok R-002 in our davit systems and boat lifting arrangements.
The VIKING Norsafe davit system provides;
- Double barrier breaking systems
- Dual operation modes (evacuation and training)
- “Pull and Go” winch technology
- Shock-absorbing systems to avoid harmful acceleration during launch
- FMECA analysis completed for all designs
- Typically installed on jack-up drilling rigs or existing fixed platforms, the davits can be installed at heights up to 100 m
- Machinery Directive certified for lifting of personnel from fixed installations
- DNV GL design review as 2017 edition of Norsok R-002
