The PLT® Solas Launching Unit works on 200 bar (2900 psi) to 300 bar (4350 psi) and is refilled by using a high-pressure air compressor. This provides between 4 to 6 launches.
For filling to 300 bar (4350 psi), simply connect the air cylinder to a standard scuba diving (breathing air) compressor with standard 5/8″ threads according to DIN 477.
For filling from a 200-bar compressor, Art. No. 1308 Yoke (DIN477) and claw adapter Art.no 1315 is needed to connect the Air cylinder and compressor.
The PLT® Solas Projectile is specially made to work with the PLT® Solas Launching Unit and the PLT® Solas Launching Tube. It has 250 meters of pre- installed 3,2mm Nylon Line. The Line has a breaking strength of 2000N and the projectile and line floats.
When the line is dry and clean, the launching distance is between 230-250 meters.
