Contributing to regional development through both cultural events and education is very important to VIKING. Have a look at some of the things we support below.
The Harbor School
The Harbor School in Esbjerg has been educating and providing unique experiences at sea for school children for more than 25 years. Feeling the wind and the splashes of seawater from the waves while setting sail or rowing the boats themselves, makes for an unique introduction to the maritime world for many students each year. VIKING is more than happy to support The Harbor School with safety equipment for all the young seafarers and their teachers.
The Fisheries and Maritime Museum
The museum in Denmark is the largest of its kind in the country with exhibitions, aquarium, sealarium and fishing boats.
Music Hall Esbjerg
Framing more than 100 annual concerts, musicals, exhibitions, theatrical and stand-up shows etc. VIKING is proud to support the cultural establishment Music Hall Esbjerg.
Fanø Art Museum
We support the local art museum on the island of Fanø off the coast of Esbjerg.
VIKING supports the Tall Ships Races whenever they come to town. They were here in 2022 and next time will be in July 2026.
Educational institutions and training centers
We are committed to supporting higher education. Employees throughout the organization participate in educational activities and assist students with their theoretical projects. We also employ students in student assistant, trainee and internship positions. A large number of our employees are former student assistants, trainees or interns. We also have a close cooperation with selected maritime safety training schools, which receive special training equipment and materials.
