Although miles away from the action, our role in helping our colleagues worldwide is crucial nonetheless. We provide valuable knowledge, assist them with daily operations and other important tasks. Our work is all about communication and collaboration with different departments. Resolving every case feels like putting together a puzzle, but without any piece of knowledge missing.

Apart from Sales, our Team in Bulgaria also supports other important VIKING departments such as SOA, PM Trade, PM Rafts, PPE Water and Sales Excellence. Our help with the daily work of these departments ensures they can provide the best assistance to VIKING employees and customers alike.

Finance

Global Business Service in Bulgaria was established in 2017.
We consider our selves to be the Financial Heart of VIKING and engage more than 85 dedicated employees across our 7 teams.

Within the classic finance areas Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report, Tax, Payroll and Transfer Pricing, we take care of more than 30 VIKING entities around the world.

Production Engineering Team VIKING Fire & Rescue

Our Production Engineering department plays a role in ensuring the production of VIKING’s high quality products.
As a Production Engineer responsible for subcontractors in Bulgaria and Albania we oversee and manage the relationships with our external manufacturing partners.

Key responsibilities include

• Quality: Ensuring that all subcontractors work and follow the VIKING’s Quality standards
• Process Optimization:  Collaborating with subcontractors to streamline production processes and improve efficiency
• Technical Support : Providing technical guidance and support to subcontractors to resolve any production issues
• Performance Monitoring: Regularly assessing subcontractor performance and implementing improvements as needed
• Compliance: Ensuring all subcontracted work adheres to industry regulations and VIKING’s internal policies
• Time Study: Overseeing the cutting ,sewing ,control and packing of PPE products

Our team is dedicated to maintaining strong partnerships with our subcontractors, fostering innovation and driving continuous improvements in our production processes. Together, we ensure that VIKING’s products are produced to the highest standards, delivering exceptional value to our customers.

SAP Applications

Our SAP department in Bulgaria is dedicated to managing and optimizing our company´s SAP ERP processes.
Our team is responsible for optimizing SAP systems to improve business performance and ensure seamless operations. 
This role is important for maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of SAP systems, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the organization.

The main purpose of our SAP Applications Team is to implement, manage, and optimize SAP ERP software solutions to support and enhance an organization's business processes. 

• Configuring and customizing SAP modules to meet specific business requirements.
• Providing technical support and troubleshooting to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and design effective solutions.
• Training end-users and creating documentation to ensure efficient use of the system.
• Continuously improving and upgrading SAP systems to leverage new features and maintain alignment with business goals.

IT Operations

In the IT Operations department within the GBS, our primary mission as Regional IT Supporters is to provide expert assistance and resolve various computer-related issues across all VIKING locations. Our role is dynamic and requires close collaboration with different teams to ensure smooth and efficient IT operations.

We are responsible for a variety of daily IT support tasks, including monitoring and managing tickets in ServiceNow to address IT issues, ensuring we align with our SLA and consistently striving to uphold it. We provide remote support to our end users, making sure their issues are resolved promptly. Additionally, we handle support requests and offer IT assistance through ServiceNow. Our role also involves troubleshooting and assisting with software-related issues, as well as communicating with IT service providers and managing escalations to guarantee quick resolutions. We are also tasked with maintaining and cleaning IT equipment.

Collaboration with other departments, such as Finance, Sales, and HR, plays a vital role in enhancing IT processes and improving daily operations. A key part of our responsibility is identifying opportunities for automation, streamlining workflows, and optimizing the use of IT equipment. For example, we’ve automated the process of adding all Bulgarian users to the address book on new Konica printers, which has greatly improved efficiency.

In the It Operations GBS department, our mission is to deliver top-tier IT support, ensuring that employees have the necessary tools and assistance to work efficiently. By proactively troubleshooting, automating processes, and fostering collaboration, we aim to improve IT operations and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
