VIKING internships

VIKING offers internships for students studying at either the bachelor’s or master’s degree level - giving you the opportunity to obtain important knowledge about working for a global company while writing your academic thesis.

VIKING interns traditionally work 37 hours per week as a member of a team within their particular field of study. It is important for us that VIKING Interns feel welcome and a part of the VIKING family. In fact, that’s why the Intern onboarding and orientation process is identical to all new employees. And we expect VIKING Interns to be responsible, task-oriented and take ownership of their own projects, tasks and daily “to-do’s”.

Your VIKING colleagues are always willing and available to give good advice, participate in an interview and present good ideas that may positively contribute to your project. So joining the VIKING family opens new opportunities to develop business networks that can turn out to be very helpful –  both personally and professionally.

VIKING offers internships within:

  • Engineering
  • Marketing
  • Logistics
  • Information Technology
  • Human Resources
  • Finance
  • Project management
  • Sales management and more…

Nikolai joined VIKING after completing his studies in Marketing Management at Esbjerg Business Academy South West. He was offered a three-month internship in our marketing department, where he was involved in the planning and implementation of a firefighting exhibition in the United States.

Towards the end of his internship, Nicolai was offered a trainee position as a Sales Executive Graduate. During the training course, he spent time in Sales and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) Trade. Once his internship is over, Nicolai will move to the United Kingdom, where he will spend a year looking after his own portfolio of customers.
