Liferaft storage options
VIKING liferafts are packed in either fibre glass containers or handy water resistant valises.
When every minute counts
Every second is critical when abandoning your boat at sea. Getting all people evacuated in a minimum of time is the priority. It is essential that your liferaft is immediately available, so make sure you store where it is easily accessible. You simply do not have time to search for it.
Best location for a liferaft
Liferafts can be stored almost anywhere, but good locations are: cradle-mounted on the deck or pushpit (containers) or stored in a dedicated liferaft locker (valises) in or adjacent to the cockpit. Always have an emergency plan ready and make sure everyone on board knows it.
RescYou™ Containers
The high gloss rigid fibre glass containers offer excellent protection against exposure to the elements. Containers are installed using strong lashings on sturdy stainless steel cradles and mounted either horizontally on the deck or vertically on the pushpit.

RescYou™ Valises
VIKING's water resistant black and silver valise provides convenience and versatility. The liferaft may be transported from boat to boat, removed when not in use or when security is an issue.
Valise models must be stored in designated lockers, lazarettes or down below and must be kept dry and accessible. Not recommended for lashing on deck.
