VIKING's logistics specialists are experts in global transportation

Our transport security advisor heads a skilled team of transport experts to ensure that goods are sent legally, responsibly and without costly hold ups caused by incorrect paperwork.
A large proportion of the products that we manufacture are classified as dangerous goods when in transit. Liferafts, some mass evacuation systems and inflatable lifejackets, for example, contain compressed air for inflation. They have a specific UN number, UN2990. Spare parts, for example hand flares in emergency packs, are also dangerous goods, and some are classified as explosives.

VIKING's logistics specialists ensure the correct documents are prepared for the applicable dangerous classification system, be it IMO (for sea travel), IATA (for air travel) or ADR (for travel by road), including trim cards and material data sheets.

We use bonded warehouses in several locations worldwide to ensure logical, fast delivery across the globe. Our team of experts ensure that the correct customs documentation follows transportation to and from these bonded warehouses.
