VIKING suppliers must live up to our standards

Our global policy gives us access to suppliers worldwide, allowing us to compare and choose between suppliers that can offer the right combination of quality, quantity and delivery terms.

Suppliers of raw materials and spare parts are subject to strict requirements
Detailed product specifications are defined by our research & development and design departments. These suppliers must have their own documented quality system and be financially solid. And they must of course be able to deliver reliably and consistenty - at competitive prices.

Our suppliers are not allowed to make any alterations to products without our knowledge and acceptance. We have long-term partnership agreements with major suppliers whenever possible.

Suppliers of trade products are also subject to detailed requirements for quality and documentation, timely delivery and competitive pricing. Trade and LSA products must be certified to the relevant maritime standards, for example USCG and SOLAS. Trade products are sold under the suppliers name, and benefit from long term association with the VIKING brand.

Product development in partnership
VIKING is constantly working to develop new products and make technological improvements on existing products. We have a close cooperation with several major suppliers to develop new solutions. All new products and significant alterations to existing products are subject to procedures in VIKING’s own quality control system including extensive prototype testing.
