VIKING offers a range of MiniSlide systems to suit any vessel with a medium or low embarkation heights.

	VEMS, SOLAS approved The VIKING Evacuation MiniSlide, or VEMS, is designed specifically for vessels with low embarkation deck heights.
	VELS + SMS, SOLAS approved Our newest development, the VELS + SMS has added safety features and more flexible storage options.
	MS/MSL The basic VIKING MiniSlide (MS/MSL) is ideal when sailing in national waters.

VIKING Evacuation Liferaft System and SOLAS MiniSlide

The independent slide and liferaft gives increased storage flexibility.

Increased safety
The slide has added a unique descent safety brake cushion that safely brakes evacuee descent at the interface to the liferaft. It has extra high sides for increased safety.

Requires one one crew member to operate
The new single bowsing winch technology that creates just the right pull in just the right places to ensure the liferaft is swiftly, safely and easily pulled into place ready for evacuation. The winch operator can see right into the liferaft and supervise evacuation from the embarkation point.

Slide and liferaft can be stored separately
The slide is packed in a valise and can be stored in a vessel-convenient location. The system liferaft and additional liferafts can be stored in racks separately from the slide to make storage as
flexible as possible.

The system can be combined with most VIKING liferafts or combination of liferafts to ensure that the evacuation system matches the vessel’s evacuation requirements. Additional liferafts can be stored on racks, even in remote locations, released by remote release and pulled into place outside the system liferaft ready for inflation.

The VIKING MiniSlide (MS/MSL), a basic system for ships sailing in sheltered waters

This lightweight and compact system can be stored in a valise anywhere on board or next to the embarkation point in a ventilated box. It is available for various vessels heights and comes with or without a platform.

Capacity can be tailored to suit the vessel’s requirements with additional liferafts.
