Prams can experience large variations in draft, larger than those experienced by other types of vessels with marine evacuation systems, traditionally passenger ro-ro vessels, and often carry heavy cargo.


Signed to fulfil strict SOLAS requirements, VIKING's slide systems are the ideal solution as their design easily allows for 30-35° angles in normal conditions and up to 55° in distressed situations. This makes for protection beyond requirements.

Compact system saves valuable space and makes mooring easier
Prams often need to moor alongside supply vessels or the like. Whereas some evacuation devices protrude, VIKING's slide system can be fitted flush to the pram side and makes mooring easier.

The slide systems are also extremely compact and flexible. The entire system is stowed in cassettes that have a small footprint, freeing valuable deck space. Additional drop down liferafts can be stored anywhere convenient on board the pram and released by remote release when needed.

Busy times have not affected quick delivery
Despite the large positive growth in VIKING's order books, VIKING delivered the system ex works just a month and a half after receiving the order.
