Welcome to VIKING LIFE-SAVING EQUIPMENT

Rescue boat

VIKING supply rescue boats specifically designed for life-saving and working purposes within the shipping and offshore industries. Modern concepts combined with the basic ideas of traditional boat-building principles have given our rescue boats the stability, strength, and excellent seagoing qualities required under maritime conditions. The Fast Rescue Boat meets the requirements of the 1983 Amendments of SOLAS 1974, LSA-Code, IMO/MSC/Circ.809. and MSC 81(70). The hull is built from fibre glass reinforced polyester resin(GRP) in a deep-V frame construction for full planning. The entire hull of the boat is produced from self-extinguishing polyester resin, non-alkaline glass rowing tissues and chopped strand mats. All scantlings meet the requirements of "Germanischer Lloyd" or certifying authority. The boat has a complete inner skin in fibre glass reinforced polyester resin. The inner skin is glued and screwed together and the space between inner and outer skin is filled with CFC-R11-free polyurethane foam which keeps the boat buoyant even when damaged. The cockpit is self-bailing and the seat provides stowage room for inventory etc. The inner section has a non skid surface and is self bailing. It has an integrated helmsman console. A single point On/Off-load release is installed. The framework aft incorporates a self-righting aid as per requirement for fast rescue boats. The boat is built with a hard chine v-shaped hull with transomstern. The raised fore ship repels the sea excellently and increases the reserve buoyancy at fore ship. The inflatable Rescue Boat has an inflatable fender with 5 independent compartments installed around the boat, except at the stern, giving the boat excellent protection during operation. Each compartment is fitted with an inlet and release valve. The FRB 675 is a boat with a planning deep V hull modified for water jet propulsion. The heavy duty flexible closed cell foam collar provides stability and impact absorption and requires minimal service and maintenance. The exterior colour is international orange. The boat is designed, constructed and equipped in accordance with the latest amendments to the International convention for the Safety of Life at Sea and Det Norske Veritas competent to be safely launched and retrieved under adverse weather and sea conditions.
