	MOB boat VIKING’s MOB (man over board) boat is specifically designed for life saving and working purposes within the shipping and offshore industries. The modern concept combined with the basic ideas of traditional boat building principles have given the VIKING 470 GRP 1 man over board rescue boat the stability, strength and excellent seagoing qualities required under conditions at sea. The hull and inner liner are manufactured from fibre glass reinforced fire-retardant polyester with built-in polyurethane buoyancy which makes the boat unsinkable. The inner liner has integrated watertight compartments for loose equipment such as searchlight, etc. The deck is self bailing with drains, bilge pump, bollards and non-corrosive hand rails and fittings. The single stand lifting mast and hydrostatic release gear are also manufactured in non-corrosive stainless steel. The boat seats five persons + 1 person lying down. The craft also has a remote control steering system. The VIKING 470 GRP 1 and type-approved hydrostatic release gear require no daily maintenance. It is approved by several national maritime authorities and is manufactured according to SOLAS regulations.
