	Emergency pack All VIKING liferafts are equipped with an emergency pack. Its exact contents depends on the type and model of the liferaft, but generally consists of: sea anchor and cord, paddles, repair kit, bellows, rescue quoit and line, bailer, buoyant safety knife, rainwater collecting bags, ID tube, parachute rocket signal, hand flare, smoke signal, signal lamp and whistle, signalling mirror, emergency ration, drinking water, drinking vessel, medicine box, anti-seasickness tablets, seasickness bag, TPA (thermal protective aid), fishing tackle, safety tin opener, scissors, sponge and instructions for immediate action and survival. SOLAS A packs are required for international voyages and SOLAS B for sailing on short international voyages (coastal areas). The pack is securely fastened to the liferaft to ensure that it does not become detached from the liferaft during inflation. Safety of life at sea is of prime concern to VIKING.
